Nemesis

While cobbling together inquisitor Carax from the plastic sorceror I tried out a lot of different ideas before finally settling on the final design. One that really struck a chord with me was abandoned as it felt too "good" for the extreme "evil" radical I had planned (good and evil of course being very relative terms in the 40k universe).

However, the design could work for Carax nemesis - a devout puritan dispatched by the Inquisition to take him down. It would also be fun to do two models back to back based on a similar layout, but making them sort of yin yang opposites of each other.

So off to buy a new sorceror I went! Here's the bluetacked mockup obviously very inspired by the classic Inquisitor Covenant.

  2. Your poses get better and better. Really well done. This chap is the perfect fence for Carax.

    1. Thanks man.
Easier when you've got the pitch-perfect perfect pose of Covenant to work from. That's really where the inspiration came from with this one.

  3. Looking pretty good, although that is a heck of a long sword!

The shoulder gun is pretty great, nice use of the cultist autopistol.

    1. Well yes - it does look rather big.

However - a) real life two handed swords vere MASSIVE - over 1,5 meters long
      b) it's 40k ;-)

  4. Those Scion and Grey Knights bits seem to work well together. And Covenant was one of the better models to come out of the early Inquisitor range (they kind of lost it a bit towards the end).

Surely you must have nearly enough 'one of' guys to fill out a whole army roster by now!?

    1. Using unbound I can probably field a 1000 pt army consisting entirely of inquisitors...
