(Un)Holy rusted metal, Batman!!

The renegade of Mhorrigot is shaping up rather nicely methinks.
Not finished yet, though, so there's plenty of time to screw this up...

  1. I'll admit, I wasn't entirely sold on the particular bitz used in conjunction, but the cohesive grimy paintwork has changed my mind for sure. :)

    2. It was the Necron bitz in particular that jarred with me, but as I said the paintwork has really made the model "a whole" as it were.

The chunky nails are a fantastic touch!

Hmm... Perhaps a bit big for a munda bounty hunter - but one could easily make a smaller model using the same head, scout legs and a standard necron torso..

    2. Thanks for the idea!
I don't have scout parts but surely have some other thin legs more appropriate for the bounty hunter... 8-)

  3. Wow, looking awsesome! Loving the blue eyes and the muted tones. Certainly a unique figure, now hurry up and sculpt those demons ;)

The eyes are cyan rather than blue to be precise... ;-)

I´ll get to it! About time to do a Sickle-kin at least. I´m still not exactly sure on how to do the Greater Daemon... Crypt horror? But they´re perhaps a little small...?

    2. Easiest torso to convert would probably be the plastic demon prince, tho it would need some work to match your imagery. I was looking at the banshee plastic and thought you could use the bottom half for your sickle kin herald, maybe with the bare chested zombie torso. Look forward to what you come up with :)

    3. I've looked at the daemon prince (of course) but I just cant stand that sculpt. I'd rather base it on something else even if that means it comes out a wee bit on the small side. The classic GDs weren't that big after all...

  4. The blue eyes really add a grim life to this marine. They standout just enough, but fit with the dull muted tones of the rest of the model. The dark red looks fantastic, melting into the rusty metal.

    1. Thanks! I think I´ll have to tone down the red on the shield though - it´s a bit to "nice" looking at the moment...
