One down - two to go.

Hi folks!

The first invitational entry is now painted!
I wont post him in all his technicolour glory until the end of march, but here's a desaturated preview for you good folks.

Not quite there with the base though... I feel it misses something. Perhaps some scattered leaves would look good. But - apart from that I consider this one done!

  1. Desaturated goodness!

Nice to see all the gems play a role. The flames, shoulder pad and shield looks very promising - very old school in a good way! I look forward to see this in full colour :)

    1. Thanks mate! Actually I gotta try to actually paint a mini this way someday - almost completely desaturated only getting hints of colur variations through sublte washes...

  2. Coming along nicely.

Congratulations on the Blanchitsu btw. Seeing your minis in Visions is always a joy.

I heard they were in there - haven't managed to snag a copy myself...

  3. Looking ace... how about an unidentifiable (bloody?) Internal organ for the base?

  4. Very strong mini, very alianeted and twisted, and yet still very human. The competition is hard in the invitational, so many great minis.

Just came across some concept art for a new game from osprey publihing! Recognised through style but had to look up you real name :)
Have you shoved those drawings here ? Great stuff, love the robot!

Yeah - I might post the pics here. It is sort of mini related after all...

  6. Oh you went with the teaser approach. I didn't with my first and probably not with the remainder.

One thing is sure though on your marine, he's one sinister character that's for sure!

    1. Yeah I wanted to let the Sleeters get the big reveal...

      Glad you dig the marine!

  7. WOW! Great execution on the design, I am new to 40K but the whole Blanchitsu/INQ28 scene has me mesmerized. What did you use for the Marine's head? Is it a Slaaneshi daemon head? I thought they were all female?
