I've been working with the Nurgle sorceror in shorts bursts for more than a week. Somehow I had trouble finding the zen-state that usually allows me to sit engrossed with a mini for an entire evening - this was more of a "an hour here, an hour there" affair. Perhaps it's due to all the tiny details - there always seemed to pop up new little trinket I'd forgotten to paint...
Calling this one done (only thing missing are the oregano leaves on the base) - time to move along to the chaos warriors.
Very nice! I like the way you painted the robes. What colours did you use?
ReplyDeleteCheers mate!
DeleteHard to say. A lot of zandri dust and sepia washes were involved, on top of my usual black/brown/bone undercoat.
Another great model! The warband is growing at an incredible pace, and look stunning; grandfather Nurgle would be proud. I really like the fiery blisters on his arm; the ravages of an immune system battling the corrupting influence of the Warp.
ReplyDeleteYeah - there some serious acne going on there. Perhaps he's just a troubled teenager.
DeleteAmazing work as usual, Johan. There's a little of the Dark Emissary about him I think. I love spotting where you've taken your parts from and where the boxset set purchased has been used by you before. Always a fun game for me.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jordan!
DeleteYou're right - there really is a resemblance to the Emissary - not intentional though. Guess that guy always had something nurgly about him...
Great new edition to this little brotherhood of bubonic warriors :P
ReplyDeleteHow exactly did you go about doing your base? I want to say it's a mixture of cork tile pieces and grit, but it looks like there's also some other kind of material in there as well.
There's indeed cork ,as you correctly guessed, as a base. I then built up the "moss" using greenstuff and covered everything in GW textured paint. The lighter patches of orange grass are a form of modellers spongy flock. 'The idea was to create a base with an old school feel - they often had milliput moss hanging off them.
DeleteShe's a real beauty! I'm seriously loving this nurgle group, it's so inspirational.
ReplyDeleteCheers mate!
DeleteGreat job! Hope you find your mojo soon!
ReplyDeleteI found it under a cupboard!
DeleteThose blisters are so realistic. Amazing job all round.
ReplyDeleteI was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
ReplyDeleteliver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
