Crusader of the Machine God

The Bellator Sanctorum Sicarii is finished and ready to join the ranks of my machine cult warband. 





The shield was of course destined for some freehand heraldry. The checkers turned out a bit bigger than planned but apart from that I'm quite happy with it:

    Great paint job. The Skull-dragon on the shield is particularly good. I originally thought that a larger shield would be better, but this works out so well.

    Are you planning any more of these? One with more cloth (a cloak?) would be interesting...

    I really love this chap. The heraldry makes him much more human, which in turn highlights all that about him which is no longer quite human, making him incredibly sinister. Great stuff.

      Yeah - that´s really what I like about the sicarians: they look like robots at first glance, but on closer inspection one realises that they´re really mutilated, reconfigured, people... There´s a strong general Greivous vibe about them (one of few cool characters from the SW prequels) - I´m thinking of playing up that in a conversion...
