Retouched Conchord somewhat, trying to adress some if the things that bugged me. Added some more freehand decorations to get rid of overly flat surfaces and add a more knightly heraldic feel.
A common warhammer trope is an overabundance of skull motifs on the models - Chonchord on the other hand is covered top to toe with =I= symbols...
Adding more definition to his cloak edging has rectified the "melding" issue I reckon.ReplyDelete
He looks even more ace now :)
Yeah it works a lot better now. Darkened down the base as well which helps.Delete
One thing that's just struck me about this chap is that his scrolls that hang from his waist are the same colour as his robe. Is this intentional?ReplyDelete
Um...no. They´re a bit to close in tone - however, in real life the parchments are quite a bit brighter than the robes.Delete
That definitely helped now my eye draws to his face.ReplyDelete
Wow, a huge improvement over the previous (already very good) figure. All the freehand work is amazing, and really adds to the "40k" of the figure. I only hope my work is half as good.ReplyDelete
His face looks like he takes delight in the purging and killing...
I was going for "determined" but I guess that´ll do...
