Thunder!!

Well, that was quick!

I like how this guy turned out - he's got a very puritan air, but the hunched posture and slightly off proportions hint at mutation.

He shall be known as "Thunder" as an homage to a character from a swedish radio show that you've probably never heard of.

  1. Looking great! Especially the skintone. Care to share the recipe? Pretty please?

    1. Sure thing!

Zandri dust shaded with camoshade and seraphim sepia. Then highlighted with a mix of zandri and white, final highlights in white. Then some glazes with reikland flesh and sepia on details like the nose, scar etc.

      Sorta-kinda anyway...

  2. Nice one Mr. Vader! Your effectiveness is just admirable. One day there's a kit-bashed mini and the next day a superbly finished mini. It's like others are trying to cut corners while you are drifting like a boss.

    1. He he... Thanks Kari!
I think it´s all about cutting the right corners. Focusing on detailed painting where it will be noticed and leaving other stuff pretty flat.

  3. His proportions are so out of whack he's brilliant! I hope he isn't assigned very much intellect in his fluff, I feel he doesn't deserve much looking like that.

    1. Maybe - just because of said looks - he should be a renowned scholar and intellectual?

  4. Very nice work. I really like the free hand eagle on his back, and the little skull on his knee is great as well.
