I always felt like those Elf archer robes never looked like they could house fully formed legs underneath. I do appreciate the more reserved pose, but I don't think that particular set of legs works. I don' mean to be overly negative.
Well, as the legs are half the miniature that is quite negative - hard to swap them at this point. That said there are some anatomical issues that partly rises from the archer legs - you're right about that they always feel a bit to short. Like they're just legs without the waist bit. I'll see what I can do.
Awesome to see you are working on another harlequin! I love the mask from the DE wrack, it adds a much more sinister and insidious vibe to him. The hood surrounding the mask also looks superb!
I do think the High elf archer legs look a little weird. As you mentioned it sort of looks like he does not have a waist. You might be able to remedy that by filling out the waist area with greenstuff. Additionally you could use the harlequin trench coat legs from the Voidweaver,
I added some pouches to the right side and changed the pose slightly. Small stuff but together with the paintjob it helps to sell the model even if its not perfect. Pics tomorrow!
Super skinny Eldar is super skinny! Wraithbone corset maybe? ;) Cool looking conversion, Jeff!
ReplyDeleteHaha.
DeleteYeah he's almost wrack-waisted isn't he? I guess he gets lots of exercise and is very careful with what he eats.
It looks good, but between the waist, chest, and arms, there are some weird proportions going on in that kit.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the size of the head is throwing off the body scale?
You're absolutely right. The wrack head i quite big in comparison which lends a wonkyness to the anatomy. I'll see what I can do about that.
DeleteI think that the wrack mask fits really well.

Awesome.
ReplyDeleteCheers mate!
DeleteThat's good, truelly good mate! Tha pose is so suggestive, like he just killed his prey and heard some noise...Nice!
ReplyDeleteSaving the big guy for last then :)
ReplyDeleteYep! I find big conversions rather daunting so I'll need the preassure of a deadline to finish the big gimp.

Look forward to seeing how the model turns out!
