Judge and hunter

Managed to squeeze in quite a bit of painting this weekend. Finished up the arbitrator and, as a bonus, a test skitarii ranger. The skitarii are amazing models - though, it has to be said, a tad detailed for rank and file models. Painting 20-30 of these guys is quite a daunting prospect. But the plan is to at least do a small squad of five or six and use the rest of the bits for conversions.

Arbite:

Ranger:

I also finished converting the Explorator Magii who will serve as the leader of the warband. I really tried to conjure up the archetypical image of the classic cowled adeptus mechanicus prelate. Something strangely lacking in the new mechanicvm range - the new Dominus is of course an amazing model but a much weirder beast altogether.

  1. That judge is a standout. All sorts of things to love. Quite a diverse colour palette that works really well, and love the freehand on the shield and the shoulder pad.

  2. The great thing about your Judge and the Arbites in general is that they have a defined look and feel but at the same time that look can be very flexible with different pieces and paint schemes. Does he have any backstory or is he just another law keeping badass?

As for the Explorator I would say you hit the nail with making him look undeniably Mechanicus.
Can't wait to see him in his painted up.

    1. Cheers!

Like Judge Dredd the arbite is more of a "Lawman with no name" kinda deal.
You really don´t need a backstory...

  4. You're so rock solid in your delivery, but always manage to squeeze in small details here and there that makes it equally interesting every time.

  5. Awesome work, man! I really like what you've done with all three figures. It's amazing how much you achieve with your kit bashes where others would rely on greenstuff work. I think I may have to borrow the arbite build once more. Kraut really started something here. :P

  6. Really great painting. The chosen color tones (less saturated, and sometimes darker shades) is excellent. Congrats :-)

    1. Thanks! I tried to keep them dark and moody, while still retaining contrast so they "pop" when wieved from a distance.

  7. More outstanding conversions. You really have a great sense of what parts will work together. The arbite is particularly excellent.

  8. I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
