You are no match for my ninja warrior!!

Imperial assassin finished:

Didn't really bring my A-game on this one, but it turned out pretty nifty none the less. Should have gone for a jet-black bodyglove instead of a dark grey. Oh well - there's always the next ninja...

  1. Very nifty indeed. Love the old school/ new school vibe. He looks black enough for me; I didn't notice that he was dark grey until I read it. More ninjas, please! (and pirates)

    1. There´s more ninjar in the pipeline - don´t you worry :-)

I think the contrast agianst the white background makes him look more black - it´s hard to take photos of dark minis like this one...

  2. He looks awesome mate - dont know what you are banging on about not bringing your A-game for - he looks the right business - I wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley without having a squad of Astartes behind me.

    1. Thanks mate.

Sometimes you´re just not as satisfied with a mini - hard to put my finger on it, but I wanted this guy a bit "slicker" than my usual minis. A jetblack scheme with a minimum of highlights and grey armour would have been better in hindsight methinks.

  4. Great looking assassin! The paint job really tied the model together nicely. The reds looks particularly wonderful. I look forward to seeing more ninjas!

  5. You're hard on yourself, this one is great ! I really like the dark grey because it enables to have the shapes of the body. Jet black would have been a tad flat I think.
You really captured the essence of the excellent Jes Goodwin model. Only little thing is the leg position when looking at the last picture, a bit too bent to my taste but when looking at the overall mini, it's no big deal.

    1. I think I see what you mean, but holding the mini in hand you don't really notice it. Not worth chopping off the leg and repositioning it at any rate.

    2. I don't think so either, he's already good as he is.

  7. Amazing work Jeff, congrats! I'd love to have a couple of imperial assassins in my Inquisitor's retinue, please could you tell me where to get a ninja head like this one? I've been looking through Dark Eldar but no one matches what i have in mind. These guys from Titan Forge look good but their scale is slightly smaller. Also their look and feel are not so assassin type but henchmen or even psykers :P
If there's a chance please tell me.
Thanks and looking forward to see more models!
