Dominatus Chaoticus

Today I stopped by my local games store and left with two kits I've been eying for a while:

Inspired by PDHs awesome slaaneshii slaughterpriest conversion (which can be  viewed here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/757625-size%20comparison%20.html) and set on creating a different looking Dark Mechanicus Techpriest I started splicing the two kits together.

Here's an early bluetacked sketch:

There'll be loads more stuff added of course - vestigal arms, mechadentrites, greenstuff cowl, lots and lots of wires among other things. Obviously a muscular techpriest, however chaotic, sort of goes against the archetype, but that's sort of the point - the idea being that he's mutated and enhanched his own body using arcane technomantic  genecraft.

I'm rather impressed by the slaughterpriest  - it's the first AoS miniature I've bought. A beautifully sculpted kit, cleverly cast and surprisingly easy to put together.

And boy if he isn't big! Here you see him next to a human sized plague cultist:

  1. Wow, this one would be an amazing Magus Secutor (as Dahan from the Priest of Mars trilogy). You have a very good eye for the conversions, I think there is no one I don´t like...

Also, if you are no going to use the Salughterpriest head, let me know XD

    1. Cheers! Yes - he certainly would work as a corruoted secutor of some sort. Thsnks for the input! I'll be holding on to head for a while though... ;-)

  2. Looking awesome! I definitely considered swapping the head on mine, but ultimately I decided to keep it just because it is so perfect

    1. He does have an extremely well sculpted face. Wouldn't really fit a techpriest though...

  3. He is huge. I hadn't realised the AOS stuff was scaled like that... would make for a cool true scale world eater or bezerker or some such.
Great stuff as always... will be following this one with interest.

    1. This guy is really big even for AoS standards - they're not all that huge. But they all seem bigger and bulkier than your average warhammer human or 40k guardsman. Perhaps that's simply because there doesn't seem to be any normal people around anymore - they're all musclebound warped marauders or godlike skywarriors....

  4. Nice idea! I feel the scale of AoS is definitely more a 30/32mm instead of the earlier 28mm. I love it btw, 30mm is the perfect scale for me and I am enjoying some of this stuff very much!
I'm sure your techmonster will look phenomenal.

    1. 30mm is great. I remember when Rackham first came out with their miniatures at a 30mm and it just looked much more impressive than warhammer at the time. It feels like GW has slowly but steadily worked their way towards that scale...

  6. I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
