Necrotic Rotstalker

Painted up this one in one go last night. He was an absolute joy to work on so the hours simply flew by.
Quite pleased with the result as well - probably the model I have made that comes closest in look to Karis utterly brilliant evisorators. Steal from the best!

He'll be the main top hechman in the Rotten Mechanicvm crew I'm planning. I've dusted some burnt sienna powder on some of the older nurgly cyborgs bases as they will of course be part of the crew. I like the look - the cold and neutral hues of the miniatures really pop against the warm red. They had a tendency to blend into the base previously.

Here you can see the Necrotic Ruststalker along with his cronies and their shiny new bases.

  1. Great paintjob, great conversion! I like how the skin tone varies on the members.

    1. Thats sort of half intentional, half because I can never remember how I painted the skin on the last one...

  4. Mind blowing job, as always... I was not entirely convinced by the look of the conversion but seeing it painted I must say it is one of your best works so far! I can perfectly picture him leaping weirdly on his bizarre legs and loosing lumps of intestines around while laughing loudly! Is like a grim fairy tale nurgle grasshopper!

    1. Haha! I think he´s limited to mumbling loudly and blowing the occasional raspberry.

  5. Wonderful the vairation of skin tones really is great, very quickly undead groups tend to look copy and pasted when they all have the same skin tone. Excellent work as always man

    1. Cheers Eli. Painting the skin was a hoot!
Can´t really give you a recipe but the base was a 75/25 rakarth flesh/ turquoise mix drybrushed over the black/brown/grey basecoat. Then more rakarth, followed by celestial grey and white, after which I went bug nuts with the light washes.

  7. Absolutely brilliant! He has a presence that I don't see often in zombie type models... dynamic and brutal!

    1. Cheers Kelly!
He´s not really supposed to be a braindead zombie - an full automaton. He´s more of the "vicious henchman" persuasion.

  10. That guy is wicked!
I like the fact the very thin legs make him look even more diseased!
The pose is super characterful as well.

    Well done dude!

    1. Thanks! The ruststalker legs really work well with the old zombie torsos. I was really happy when I found that pose and realised it mirrored the old chaos android perfectly...

  11. NIce! I loved the pitted metal on the axe-bayonette.

Have you seen the cyber zombies from the Raging Heroes kickstarter? They might make nice companions for this fellow.

    1. Cheers.

A tutorial would be hard - the process is so random and "painterly", but check out my answer to Eli's comment above for a loose rundown on how I painted the skin.

  14. Amazing blend of nasty, decaying flesh and all the rusty, twisted metal. The colors work so well together that the organic and metallic almost seem to blend

  17. I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
