Blood Axe

Finally finished!

Now, normally I paint a model in one or two nights - three at the most.

This one took over a week. Whenever it seemed done I noticed a new little detail somehow overlooked. And when that was done another one came into view. And so on, and so on... There's just a lot of details on these big orks.

Anyway, blood axes are my favourite clan so perhaps it's fitting I spent some extra time on this one.

  1. Yeah, Orks tend to be quite busy minis. Even lowly Boyz have plenty of detail to work on; that made painting 30-ork units a bit tiresome for me. Anyway, this Blood Axe fellow rocks. Job's a good 'un. :)

    1. Yeah - I hear you. Don't get me started on the plastic stormboyz... There's just so much stuff on them. I painted five and that was quite enough... Same reason I never bought any lootaz - the prospect of painting uo ten+ of those bitzbonanzas isn't very compelling...

      Glad you like him!

  3. I love these conversions! Did you use different arms for the guns, or did you just change the position of them?
I am buying some next week to do the same thing...

    1. Glad you like them! They all mix the Flash Gitz with the Nob kit.
