The usual suspects

Here's a lineup of some of the minis I'm working on at the moment. A few you've seen but some are new.

I really, really, have to start painting and stop ordering new bitz... 

Oh well, eventually I'll run out of money so that'll probably take care of itself.

Also I'm very keen on starting a new eldar ghost warrior/dark eldar team-up army what with the release if the new codex and all those shiny new wraithbone robots.
And a xenos merc/bountyhunter army.
And then the squats. And...

On with his head!!

The back's not fit for painting yet, but I can still manage some good ol' kitbashing. 

Cobbled together this guy - a radical inquisitor. There is the matter of choice of head though...

Some of you have asked to see some of the buildings used in the group shot pictures a put up a few days ago.

Now we (well me...) here at he convertorum always aim to please so here´s a few shots of some recent cityfight buildings I put together.

These are pretty simple - I don´t put nearly as much thought and work into the terrain as into the minis and they´re painted almost exclusively using drybrushing and various washes. On some of them I dabbled a bit in salt weathering though (with mixed results).

For me it´s background, and while fun to make - it´s not a "necesssary evil"or anything like that - part of that fun is allowing yourself to be a bit more sloppy and slapdash. Both in construction and painting...

Bookworm

I don't dare to paint anything until my back is completely up and running.

However this chap that got started a while ago received a minor rebuild.

There's something about these old bretonnian men at arms this is based on... Even though a tad rough around the edges compared to more recent kits they have lots of character. 

Life's too short

My back might be shot to hell - but I can still order bitz... If I tell you that a couple of goblin legs are on their way along with these heads:

INo converting or painting for me at the moment as I've contracted a crick in the neck of near biblical proportions. It feels like being slowly but methodically stabbed in the back by an expert torturer with a rusty dagger. 

I did however manage to snap a few group shots of Mahler and his cronies as requested by some of you fine gentlemen. Tried to tweak them in a PS app I bought for the ipad. I have somwhat mixed feelings about the results...

Inquisitrix - part III

Now, I'm almost finished with her. Thinking about adding a servoskull and perhaps filling up some of the gashes in her frock (as some have suggested over on the ammobunker forums).
So in other words it's procrastination time.

Cobbled together a sword and a backback for the inquisitrix. Still have to do some reconstructive surgery on her chin and add lots of details, but she's coming along rather nicely methinks...

Beer v.s. Minis 4-1

I've been focusing on work this week - got a big project to finish up this may. And it has to be said, the weather in Sweden has been exceptional after a looong winter so sitting in the evening sun with a cold beer has felt preferable to swearing over lost bits of plastic...

Today was rainy though so I continued work on the slaneeshi renegade. Also started building a grumpy aged inquisitor.

Inquisitrix

I've wanted to build a female inquisitor for quite a while now.
So - today I picked up a plastic banshee and started the cutting and gluing and general fiddling about process. Here's where we are at the moment...

As an ork aficionado I just have to do a post about this wonderful ork ship built by a guy called Darren Clark. A man who obviously has great talent, a lot of spare time and possibly a screw or two loose.

Clintus partner is pretty much finished. Let's call him "Ace".
The do look good as a team methinks.

Cable guy

Clintus partner is ready for undercoating. I really went to town with the cables on this one but I kinda like the result... Let's see how he turns out 'in colores'...
