Reality check

Whenever you think modelling 28mm plastics is fiddly work this guy provides something of a reality check:

As you might know my day job is as an illustrator (and reluctant writer).

I just set up a new public facebook page to display new and old art, promote events like signings and such.

'Eavy IV

Finished! This guy took his time but he turned out okay methinks. 

I'm really pleased with the base - been experimenting with cork to build up the terrain instead of the usual plasticard. It works really well - the features becomes more random and grainy which feels more naturalistic.

Work in progress shot of fat bastard. Playing around with washes which is always an interesting process - you never really know what the end result will be...

Papas boy

Here's the latest of Papa Nurgles minions in color. Turned out browner than planned, I was aiming for a dirty off-white, but I'm still quite happy with the armour. 

Here he is next to the gunslinger for a sense of scale (he's mounted on a round 30mm base).

It's nice to be back painting after the concussion - even if I had to paint it slowly with a lot of breaks.
