Sickle-Kin

Here's an early glimse of the first daemon of Mhorrigot. Not the first daemon of Mhorrigot made though - Igandris over at the Ammobunker beat me to the punch with his groovy Herald: http://s3.zetaboards.com/The_Ammobunker/single/?p=8308829&t=7637326

I start out small with a basic lowly Sickle-kin. The plan is to do this guy and perchance a herald before moving on to the big stuff - Scythe Lord, Scythemare & Shrouded Stalker. 

I'm not especially happy wih the current Stalker concept so it'll probably get a redesign. Nothing major but it just lacks a certain something...

Changed the pose slightly on the squat.

There's a lot of conversions with no paint on them on my workbench at the monent.

He´s got a barrel of the 40k equivalent to Bugman´s brew with him in case he gets thirsty (Psyber-rum? Emeperor´s finest? Psyke-out brew? Romulan ale?)

I'm also working on a Sickle-Kin of Mhorrigot, but I'm not very happy about it at the moment so I'll wait with posting til I get it sorted out...

As Feral pointed out the power fist really looks a bit like a "Left Hand of Doom"...

Fastest in the West

I had to get a break from all the chaosy stuff and make a good ol' inquisitorial henchman. He's modeled in a running pose where he's reaching for his gun - a much more "actiony" pose than I normally prefer but I think I pulled this one off...

The powerfist is made from plasticard tubes, with marine vents as joints.

Is it about the hedge?

The base needs a touch up but apart from that I consider this one done. 

He came out slightly redder than I had planned, but there you go. These things often take a life of their own it seems...

Name? Lugubrious I think.

(Un)Holy rusted metal, Batman!!

The renegade of Mhorrigot is shaping up rather nicely methinks. 

Not finished yet, though, so there's plenty of time to screw this up...

On the workbench

Just a quick post with some stuff that's on the workbench apart from the Mhorrigotii Renegade and the Ork Fighta. These are all conversions that start with the premise "now I'm just going to do something simple" and then very quickly turn into something a lot more complicated...

Well, that's the mhorrimarine finished. Gonna let the greystuff cure a while and then it's painting time!

Replaced the groinplate with a tattered tabard as that felt more in tune with the reaper theme.

Now I just have to decide how to paint this chap...

Swing it!

The mhorrimarine is coming together nicely. The only major thing left is how to position the scythes blade. Originally I posed it pointing forwards, Dave Taylor suggested it might look better pointing backwards. 

I can't decide so I pinned it to be easy to swing around and snapped a few shots of it pointing in every direction. What do you folks think?

You forget when you see him alone like this, but he's a big boy. Here he is next to Barfholomus and Ace:

Only thing missing now is some further detailing on the base and a name.
