To boldly go

Well, with Bones finished it was time to get to grips with the main man himself in this little project I'd like to call "Rogue Trek 40.000". Let me introduce Rogue Trader Captain Tiberius Kirke:

"Khaaaaaaaaan!!!"

Tiberius is a rather dashing Rogue Trader on a fifty year mission to explore strange new worlds ( putting them under the Imperiums rule ) and to seek out new life and new civilisations ( sometimes not destroing them! ). Aboard his mighty cruiser "Inceptum" he, and his trusty crew, boldly goes where no man has gone before.

Though in many ways an exemplary servant of the Imperium, Tiberius is under investigation from the Ordo Xenos for a string of rather sordid affairs with xenos females.

On away missions he often brings along a few anonymous crewmen.
They have a tendency not to come back in one piece.

Here's a mock up of crewman no.6:

"Inceptus - you're breaking up. What's that you say? A giant monster behind me?"

In other news - I've also managed to get my hands on a pot of Agrellan Earth - Citadels new crackly paint. It works rather well I must say and adds a lot of detail to a base. With a drybrush and a wash or two you can get some really interesting results. Here's a testbase:

  1. Captain Kirke is f**king great! And, astonishingly, the Forge World Terminator arms working very well with the small body.

And will Crewman No. 6 get a red uniform? ;)

  2. Great work! The terminator arms are surprisingly well scaled for normal humans. Are you going to paint him with a greenish gold color?

The redshirt is great, and I would like to see more of that sort of lower level hench person. Characters are all well and good, but everyone needs some mooks for them to plow through!

And it appears that you did not get one of the bad pots of Agrellian that people were complaining about. I agree, it does add a nice texture to the base.

    1. Thanks!

Tiberius clothes will of course have a yellowish colour, redshirt red (duh) and the not-yet-done eldar advisor blue...

  3. Holy shit! That face actually looks like angry William Shatner!
A good team always needs a few of expendables.

  4. Green skinned women are necessary for this to be believable.

Good work sir, thoroughly enjoyable. :)
