I started this blog in late february and now, ten months later, it would be quite an understatement to say that was a pretty good decision.
Through Officio Convertorum I've come in touch with a vibrant community of modellers that continuosly inspire, challenge and completely astound me with their work. Kari, Mikko, Migs, Kraut, JRN, Neil, Mol and many, many, others.
I've also made some real life friends, among these are PDH/ Peter Hudson - a pillar of the inq28 community and the main inspiration for this blog, the illustrious mr. John Blanche (who needs no further introduction), Tammy (Tears of Envy), Tim (Tears of Istvan) and Jon Flindall.
The Convertorum has also spurred me on as a modeller and painter - it's just more fun when you know people you respect are looking - and I really feel I've developed a lot these past ten months.
It's been quite a productive year to say the least. Here's a group shot of (most of) the models I've made this year:
The plan for 2014 is to do some bigger stuff. Not necessarily vehicles (although I have to finish up that Dakka Jet...) but rather monsters, robots, walking thrones, dreads - that sort of thing. Mix it up a little.
I'll leave you with my personal favourite mini of 2014 - Cuddles the Cherubivm.
Happy new year to you all!
What an excellent ten months it has been. I look forward to seeing the next ten years of excellent models to flow from your workbench!ReplyDelete
Happy New Year!
Thanks Dave - and likewise: you´re up to some really big stuff 2014...Delete
It's quite incredible to see how many wonderful models you've come up with tis year. All I can wish you is to make at least the same this year.ReplyDelete
Great job Jeff !
Thanks man! I hope I will!Delete
Wow. It all looked great one piece at a time, but together like that it is very inspiring. Congrats on a great 2013 and may 2014 be even more productiveReplyDelete
Your work is quite simply amazing. and its been a good year. Keep it up!ReplyDelete
I will do my very best, Sir!Delete
I have literally just come across your blog via eternalhunt and I have to say what an amazing job you've done! I spent my New Year's Eve gawping at each and every one of your models and have been suitably inspired by them all!ReplyDelete
I'm really looking forward to seeing your work in 2014!
Better than my new years eve then, spent with the "wintery-puke-sickness" that always goes around in sweden this time of year.
And no, that´s a actual disease - not a euphemism for hangover.
A great bunch of minis. Happy New Year!ReplyDelete
Happy new year to you too!
What a year 2013 has been for our take on the hobby! Solid releases from GW, Blanchitsu in WD, the Arkke, Mhorrigot, Confrontation in the under hive, amazing miniatures poping up all over the place, it has been one hell of a year. Hopefully 2014 only gets better.ReplyDelete
Happy New year Jeff and thanks for the good times :)
Thanks Alexander! Did you ever finish that mhorrigotii cultist you were working on?Delete
He'll get sprayed today so I might finish him next week, keep an eye on the bunkerDelete
Has been super fun following your progress on all these wonderful creations sir. Excited to see what this year offers up for you too!ReplyDelete
Keep up the stirling work!
Thank you kind sir!Delete
You really should be proud of this years output, theres some fantastic models and imagery on display. I must admit your blog has inspired me to drag out my brushes again, although work dose sometimes get in the way :(ReplyDelete
Your henchmen really do look impressive displayed all together like that. It would be fantastic if you had an armies on parade type display for your inquisition force, im sure you could create some great scenery elements.
keep up the excellent work :)
Hmm... That display isn't a bad idea....Delete
Your work for 2013 was superb! I have been nothing if not thoroughly amazed every time I opened a tab to this page!ReplyDelete
Now you are just showing off, Jeff ;) Lovely miniatures, all of them. Displaying them next to each other multiplies the awesomness even further. Thanks and have a productive year 2014. Like you would not... ;PReplyDelete
Since a few months, your blog became for me an essential step when I go blogging on my computer. Your incredible models are a source of inspiration for all of the INQ28 afficionados and for that, thank you vert much !
Hope you'll give us a wonderful 2014 hobby year :)
