I decided to paint him in the same colours as the stormtroopers, but gave him a slightly otherworldly skintone starting with a purple base and working up highlights with light grey. I'll post more pics as soon as the base is complete and the final touchups are made.
Very nice. Characterful conversion and lovely paint job. Can't wait to see him finished :)ReplyDelete
You are running like a storm! :D
To say he just started out as spare bits. This guy is pretty awesome, great work!ReplyDelete
Excellent! Any chance of a (rough) recipe for the colour you used for the tunic? I would very much like to steal that tone for my Trencher conversion ;)ReplyDelete
Same as the first stormtrooper: http://convertorum.blogspot.se/2014/04/stormum-trooperus.htmlDelete
Only difference is that I´ve given it a sepia wash afterwards.
Oh man Jeff - that is bloody brilliant!ReplyDelete
What an awesome bit of customisation and paint work - blown me away mate!
Thanks for all the positive feedback, boys and girls! Glad you all seem to dig him!ReplyDelete
Yup, this fellow is not over the top and it makes him all the better for it. Great work.ReplyDelete
Vader, I'm in desperate need to read a step-by-step of how you paint these bases... Pretty please?ReplyDelete
