Your figures have a really interesting tonal quality to them. Are you mostly painting with washes over primer, or are you color blocking with basecoats as well first?
It really depends, but this one was painted with washes over primer primarily ( as you can see in the previous post". Weather I start from a wash or a basecoat I realy a lot on drybrushing and consecutive washes and glazes to bring the colours together.
JEFF!!What are you doing to me mate, this is just smashing my confidence.I don't think I have ever been attracted to a mini before, you ruined me.
If you find this attractive you seriously need to get laid...
Very nice miniature! (just like everything on this blog!)I am impressed to see how you manage to have something coherent with so many colours. That's really well done.Keep painting!--morbäck
Thank you very much Morbäck! Compliments from someone of your talents are much appreciated! Your plague centurion is without doubt one of last years most impressive models.
The completely OTT verdigree is awesome and goes so well with blue. This reminds me funnily one of the old tips we used to see in WD used to be base your armies on sports teams as they have eyecatching combinations of colours and I think our local rugby team would enjoy this colour homage ;)
Go sportsteam!I think that's very good advice - team colours are certainly designed to stand out on the field and that should work scaled down on the tabletop.
